i just work here

i burned time... you can too!

i am leaving for vegas in a couple of weeks to sell at Sunday in the Valley, and you know what, I'M NOT READY.

so i reserved today for myself to sew, sew, sew.  so naturally, i researched making a font from my handwriting.  (don't judge, you do it too!).

anyway, the results are "Hold Your Pen Right", which is the name of my font since it's a well known fact by folks i know in real life that i hold my pen like a caveman. 

what do you think?  it actually looks just like my handwriting, which is totally expected but surprising for some reason.   it's surprisingly rewarding to see your handwriting as a font.  go to the website i mentioned... it's super fun.  TAKES FOREVER, but if you're looking to burn time rather than get work done, like i am... i HIGHLY recommend it. 

i'm going to try to figure out how to post it on here such that you can download my font... "hold your pen right".

i want you to know this was painful

i'm at my mom's and they live out in the country, and the interent here is PAINFUL, and i literally just waited 6 minutes for this page to come up.  UGH.  you get what you get tonight, i can't sit here and get old waiting for images to load.

olympic OPENING CEREMONIES last night.  i watched them all alone, eli is up north visiting his brother.  they were AMAZING, so amazing, in fact that i had to talk to SOMEONE about it, and so i went onto the Etsy forums, which i do from time to time, to see if anyone else thought they were cool:

my little one tried like hell to stay up until canada entered in the parade of nations, but due to the fact that we went by the number of characters in chinese, and not greece, alphabetical order, hosting country... canada was like, number 1,006.  he fell asleep about 20 minutes before they came in.  :(

anyway, totally amazing, everyone loved them, i have mixed feelings about the whole thing, but i do think it was impressive.
